Arsenal are preparing for transfer market in January

Arsenal are preparing to dip into the transfer market in January with a view to signing a replacement for the injured Francis Coquelin.

The Gunners have placed William Carvalho and Lars Bender at the top of their shortlist while they have also watched Vincent Koziello and Nampalys Mendy in action.

Manager Arsene Wenger will be given money to strengthen his squad when the transfer window reopens but may find it difficult to tempt Carvalho and Bender away from their current clubs.
